Consistent with Block Institute's expressed mission to assist in improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, Family Support Services are available to educate, support and help facilitate individuals and their families in accessing needed programs, services and entitlements. Family Support includes parent training, evaluations to determine eligibility for services, and access to Service Coordination which serves as a link to Medicaid, Home and Community Based Waiver Services, including day habilitation, vocational, clinical, respite and residential services. Service Coordinators assist families and individuals access services and entitlements and provide ongoing involvement to ensure that programs and services meet the needs and desires of individuals served.
