Training Department
The
Training Department offers training in OMRDD
regulations and specialized issues to BLOCK
INSTITUTE staff and agency participants and their
families, as well as the community upon request.
Examples of BLOCK INSTITUTE Training Program
modules include:
- Rights and Abuse Training
- Incident Reporting
- Developmental Disabilities
- Positive Approaches
- AMAP Course (Medication Administration
instruction by a Registered Nurse)
- OSHA Regulations (instruction by a
Registered Nurse)
- SCIP-R Courses (Core, Restrictive,
Recertification)
- Investigation Process
BLOCK INSTITUTE
Training modules can ensure that your staff and
the consumers that you serve receive the most
thorough, OMRDD-compliant training available. We
are happy to create training modules based upon
special needs. The Training Department provides
their services at our facilities in Brooklyn or
can travel to accommodate the needs of the
community.
